Been a few times since opened and only had fish suppers but they have been great. 2 large pieces of fish and chips for a tenner is great value these days. Fish has been very tasty every time and has helped convert my son to eating fish after avoiding for many years in any form.
Have to wait a bit as all cooked fresh although as a chippy connoisseur of many years this is one of the features common across all good chippies. Service has always been cheerful and polite.

After hearing about the "new chippy in Broxburn Square", thought well might give it a go as we visited family in the area for the weekend. This is hands down the worst chippy I've had. Batter was bland, chips were undercooked mixed with old chips that tasted rotten. None of us ate the chips. We didn't eat much of sausages, fish etc.

There was also drama with the delivery guy there. The young lass taking the order was sweet.

Newly open local chippy, has been opened for roughly a month. The other chippy is hit or miss in the area so was looking forward to try 'Di Vito's fish and chips'. Came on a Sunday, with one customer waiting in front of me, had to wait around 15 mins for fresh chips to be fried.

As it's in the name 'fish & chips' got the family meal box priced at £19.95.

The over all heat in the food it wasn't very hot.
No steam came off the items and not overly hot to eat, it was a short 5min drive to pick it up. Even though the chips came out fresh from the fryer. And each item was packaged in just cardboard boxes. It didn't burn my leg on the way home, I normally have this issue with other chippys. It's so hot it burns on my lap.

The fish texture felt a bit mushy like frozen fish didn't hold it shape well when cut just broke apart very easily, but was a decent size fish.The chips were a bit under cooked so the texture of the chips tasted dry inside and weren't very crispy. The batter on the items was thin but not very crispy no crunch and a bit oily .The 'large' chips was quite a small portion. So it wasn't enough to feed us to go with the main items, a small handful between 4 ppl. The homemade tartare sauce tasted tangy like it was yoghurt sauce with hints of something that tasted like mint. I had a thin consistency not thick or creamy like traditional tartar sauce.
Not sure if I was given the correct sauce. They failed to ask me if I wanted sauce and salt before boxed it all up. So the boxes had to be unwrapped. No greaseproof paper to line the boxes, so it tasted a bit like cardboard.
Eating it, I felt a layer of fat coat my mouth and i felt the grease just sat on the top of my stomach. Had to wash it down with warm water to get rid of it.

Not sure if it's teething issues being a new business. But I would wait a wee while before I give them a second chance.

i went into divitos today and the young girl that served me had a bad burn on her arm was pealing, she then told me that they had told her to use butter and batter to help with the burn i think it is ridiculous and staff clearly have no care over staff’s health, also seen her later on and she mentioned she had got fired because she gave her neice a kids happy meal box, containing a fruit shoot at a lollipop, i think it is ridiculous as the girl looked no more than 17years old get it sorted divitos!!will not be back. and also i while i have been in the shop multiple times in the past i have seen mice in the back running about and the staff doing nothing about it, i think its horrendous especially
in a work environment dealing with food, ridiculous. would definitely not recommend

Tried this place a few times but this will defo be my last! The menu looks appealing hence the reason I've tried the place a few times. Every single time the food has been lukewarm at best. The pizza I just received had a funny after taste and fell apart when I lifted it! Waste of money everytime and the box was damp, pizza nearly fell out it. I just wish I would've quit the place after the first disappointment.

So this was my 1st time. I was recommended to try this shop.
Nice friendly staff, young girl serving was really polite. Speedy service to the other girl who wrapped.

It didn’t disappoint. To be honest it is probably the best spicy haggis supper I have had in a long long time.

Large portions & you can tell there is no cheap scrimping with the food.

I was there at 5.15 dropped my sister off In uphall, took me another 15 minutes to get home. By the time I sat down to eat my haggisit was still very hot to eat. The chips were just nice.

So for sure I will be returning.

Brilliant fish and chips, fresh and tasty. Staff were very welcoming. Food is excellent. Great chippy, best I've tasted in a long while.

My husband had the “all American burger” tonight I had a diner kebab this place never fails to provide lovely fresh food . The burger was a big hit and I always enjoy a kebab. The fish is always lovely too.
