Had to get a good amount of work done to my vehicle and this shop was the closest, so I gave them a call. Wow I'm glad I found this repair shop. Don's DI gave me a highly competitive quote, better than many other shops, and they got my vehicle repaired quickly, even though they were slammed with cars because they're usually always so busy, and the service manager also applied current deals that they were offering at the time to my repair cost. But even if there were no deals available at the time, they still gave me a very competitive quote for high quality repair work. The technician even let me walk into the repair bay to get a hands on look at the work he was doing and a few other services he recommended, which to me is an indicator of an honest shop. The vehicle drives excellent now; strong acceleration, it stops smoothly and quietly with no grinding, and the tranny's shifting smooth as butter. So if you're need of a repair and you see that Don's DI is close to you, don't hesitate to call them because they're one of the most budget friendly, trustworthy, honest, and high quality repair shops in Vegas 🧰🔧👍 😉!!

I'm new to Nevada, but needed assistance with my Ford Escape. I searched and found Don's D.I. Auto and Truck Service. Immediate appointment during the holiday season, quickly diagnosed the problem and they ordered the part. I was able to take the car home and use it until the part arrived. They quickly scheduled an appointment to install the new part and were done in a couple hours. Now my instrument panel is working and Mike and Paul were excellent! Reasonable price, great customer service and excellent results!

I posted on this shop some time ago. I’m posting again as I have finally received my truck. I was disgusted with them then, I’m more so now.

I dropped off my old truck over 2 1/2 years ago. It’s not the standard old ford. It had a diesel I couldn’t get started.

They ended up Replacing the engine entirely with the same motor. Not standard but not that complicated. No electronics on this beast. On the owners reply to my last post he stated it takes a lot of time to make a show truck. He didn’t produce one.

They were hired to do four things: get it running, fix the transmission leaks, replace the exhaust system and connect the emergency brake.

After 2 1/2 years they did get it running. At least I saw it run in Vegas. I haven’t been able to start it here. To be fair, it’s cold. But even after four days in a garage I haven’t been able to.

When I had it delivered I couldn’t get it started, again it was cold. We pushed it to the garage to defrost. This morning I looked under it to find a puddle of transmission fluid. Apparently they didn’t bother to do that right. I’ll have to use their nationwide warranty to get someone else to do what they are incapable of.

I discovered the emergency brake wasn’t connected while unloading the truck. I grabbed for the brake while rolling it down the ramp. I wasn’t happy. Since then they tell
me they have no memory of me dropping off the cables. I’m assuming they are lost for good.

The exhaust system was outsourced. Seems okay.

Other things I’m unhappy about include them losing one of my new red top batteries. They told me they were both shot. Of course they didn’t tell me while they were under warranty. That was an additional 700.00

I sent a truck three times to pick up mine. Each time they needed just a bit more time. Just a little buttoning up… the last time they said they would pay to have it delivered to Reno. I had moved. After various excuses and delays I came to the conclusion they were never going to get it done. I paid for the delivery. They made no offer to cover even part of the cost

If you are as big a fool as I have been, then take your vehicle to this shop.

We broke down In Las Vegas in rush-hour traffic with a 1 ton truck and four horses in a trailer We were able to get the truck towed to a Chevy dealer where the next morning we were told it would be a week or maybe two weeks before they could even do diagnostics on it. We were on our way to Arizona and couldn’t imagine how we were gonna get the horses to Arizona without a truck and then have to come back and get the truck so we called Dons Diesel and talked to Paul. He assured us that they would be able to take a look at the truck if we got it towed to them which we did And within 24 hours. they not only diagnosed it, but found a discontinued part and had us on the road. They were wonderful to work with. We highly recommend them

Dons DI auto got my Ram truck fixed quickly and efficiently for a fair price. AC is colder than ever and it’s 115 right now in Vegas. I’m very impressed with the service. Got me in and out no problems.

Let me just say, I normally don't leave a review. First it's hard for a women to find someone to attend to our vehicle needs. After reading the reviews and visiting Don's I got a good vibe. Made appt for oil change. Great Customer service. Fair pricing.I'm so happy I followed my instinct. I have made this shop for my future repairs. I absolutely recommend this place.

I needed an oil change on my 2007 Toyota Tundra that I had just gotten from my father when he passed. This truck was his most prized possession. I called down to Don's D.I. they got me in in a timely manner considering the holiday weekend. Service was excellent. Paul was very friendly and accommodating. I had to stay and wait for truck to be done and they were very quick. He complimented me on the condition of my truck which was a special thing to me because it would have made me Dad happy if he were still here. I gave 5 stars not just for the quick and professional oil change but because after my visit I received a text message about a week later asking how the truck was running and then again in a few months thanking me again for my business and checking on on the vehicle. I will be bringing my Tundra there from now on and recommend this shop whenever people ask of a good shop to go to.
