Not sure about all of the bad reviews, but I thought this place was great. Was remodeling a bathroom in our 110 year old house and wanted some quality Carrara Marble Herringbone Mosaic for the floor. Like many places that work with contractors, they were helpful but not typical salespeople like you would find at most tile stores. If you know what you want and don't need someone to hold your hand through the selection process then check them out. Also, their website is great. We figured out what we wanted on the website and then drove down and picked it up. Plus, they were very generous with samples of some possible items for our future home projects! Tile was great quality and color for Carrara.

Had ordered some tile from their NJ location, but before the order was processed we realized we wouldn't need the tile and immediately contacted them to see if we could cancel the order. (Same day ordered same day canceled). I received no response, not even a "Sorry we already shipped it". A week later the tile arrives and I immediately email them to start the return process. No response to my email (waited a few days). Then I called their office with no answer and left a message stating I'd like to begin a return and just need guidance on how to start the process. Still no response. Finally I called their California location and was able to get someone on the phone. The lady was nice and helped me out as you have to foot the bill to send anything back and they take a 15% restocking fee. Kind of a let down as we tried to cancel before it was even shipped and are now paying just to get any of refund. However, I gave 3 stars because the lady on the phone helped us out by letting us ship to the California location (we're based in LA) to save money on the shipping fee and she was pleasant to talk to. I work for a construction firm and unfortunately this company will be low on my list of vendors due to the lack of customer service response and probably will do what I can to avoid ordering from them again. Buyer Beware.

If you have a problem with your purchase you are out of luck. About 70% of the tiles in the first shipment arrived damaged. I called multiple times to get a replacement shipment. It never arrived. The third shipment was from a different lot so the colors were slightly different AND the shipment was short. I needed 30 replacement tiles and they shipped only 30 sq. ft. After so many months and still not enough tile for the job I returned all the tiles. It's very disturbing, as with other reviewers, I was promised a refund but it never came. There were promises, "the returned tiles had to be inventoried" and "your credit will have to go through accounting". I had to request a credit from my credit card company.

Stone Center used a horrible shipping carrier (R&L Carriers) on our order and we received our tile way later than promised...despite paying an extra $200 for shipping. We actually had to go physically pick up our tile from R&L warehouse in Denver and it was a giant pain in the behind...with a ton of ridiculous red tape. Stone Center - preserve your reputation and stop using R&L carriers for shipping!!

I ordered carrara marble tiles for a bathroom shower, additional tile for the edges of the shower and basketweave carrara for the floor, all in white and grey shades. The shower tiles were mostly fine, just as depicted in the photos, but my installer ended up rejecting quite a few of them for poor cuts and cut marks across the face of the tiles. I had decided to order the floor tiles as well from this supplier, not another one, in order to have one pallet with all the stone for this job. Big mistake. Despite pictures sent to me, the actual product looked nothing like what I had ordered. I had the worst time trying to return the pallet with the floor tiles. The process dragged on for weeks and weeks and weeks. Finally someone came to pick up the rejected stone. Then the new tile which was supposed to be the "proper" grey was sent. Same problem so I rejected it. As some others have noted, their return policy is terrible. I was charged for the returns and the new shipment to me as well. This fight with Marble Online went on for months. I am highly dissatisfied. The people were very difficult to deal with and totally unwilling to address my issues. All they had to do was send me a sample instead of the entire crate and let me see the color firsthand! What was sent did not match the grey color of their shower tile even though the basket weave had to be installed in the shower floor as well as the rest of the room! Why was this so difficult? Just horrible experience and very costly. No restitution I might add. So for the next bathrooms and kitchen I will not be using them!

Good selection as many reviews say. Items ordered were packaged well, as there were no broken items.Customer service was absolutely terrible and there was no effort made to make amends. My items were delayed was absolutely terrible and there was no effort made to make amends. My items were shipped separate, I Got the black tile in but notice i didn't get the white, after 3 emails and no answer phone calls, finally got a hold of them for them to tell me they are shipping the white out today so now i'm paying workers to do nothing all because my white tiles are delayed by 3 extra days . But not once did I get an email back saying the order has shipped nothing not once. Do you not realize how much of an inconvenience it is to not know when an order is coming and when it gets here,it missing HALF the order. Will never order again, great prices are not worth your horrible Customer service.

Be careful. They charge your card then call and say oh the tile you ordered is not exactly as we showed. When I cancelled they still charged me a
Credit card fee. What a rip off !!!!!

This is a very good company to order tile from. I have ordered from them twice now with nothing but excellent results. I even had a color matching issue which was quickly resolved by Marcela. This company is a class act and I would reccomend it to anyone wanting great tile at a competitive price with excellent customer service.
